Twin Pine Casino & Hotel has confirmed one of its employees have tested positive for COVID-19. All available information and contact tracing indicate the employee did not contract COVID-19 at Twin Pine Casino & Hotel. The employee’s last date worked was July 8th and remains at home. All information indicates the employee contracted the virus after leaving work on July 8th. The employee did not become symptomatic until July 12th and immediately began to self-quarantine. The employee took a COVID test on July 15th and received the positive test result on the evening of July 22nd. All other employees who had contact with the employee on or before July 8th have not been working, have not displayed symptoms of COVID-19, and are being tested as an added precaution. These team members will not be able to return to work until they receive a negative test result.

 

Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California owns and operates Twin Pine Casino & Hotel. The Tribe is dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for its patrons and team members. Chairman Simon stated, “We feel it is particularly important to be transparent and communicate any information related to this COVID-19 pandemic to our team members and local community. We wanted to convey this information as quickly as possible as we take this very seriously”.

 

Twin Pine Casino & Hotel immediately contacted Lake County Department of Public Health and Dr. Gary Pace, Lake County Public Health Officer, on July 23rd to assess any risk and seek guidance. Twin Pine Casino & Hotel reviewed the details and known timeline of this case with Dr. Pace, who assessed the risk to be minimal.

 

Twin Pine Casino & Hotel is continuing to work closely with Lake County Public Health Officer, Dr. Gary Pace, and the Lake County Department of Public Health and will follow their recommendations and guidance. If more information becomes available, we will share all pertinent facts with our team members and patrons.

 

The safety of our team members and patrons continues to be our first priority. We feel it is especially important that we continue to communicate regularly with our guests and employees as we navigate through these uncertain times and adjust to the “new normal” that this pandemic as created. We are extremely proud of our team members’ adherence to health and safety practices, wearing required personal protective items and providing the world class service to our loyal guests. Twin Pine Casino & Hotel will continue with its rigorous safety and cleaning procedures for the added protection of its employees, patrons and the community.
