Hannah Jane Kile Band Delivers Outstanding Bay Area Entertainment
If you are looking for great entertainment in the Bay Area, look no further than Twin Pine’s Bay Area casino. On October 8 from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., we bring you the soulful sounds of the Hannah Jane Kile Band.
If you want to see a miraculous transformation, arrive before Hannah begins to play. You’ll be amazed when this bright, cheerful young lady steps up to the microphone and lets loose with a voice that moves effortlessly from an earthy blues vibe to a soft, emotional tone that is almost a whisper.
About the Hannah Jane Kile Band
Hannah sings, plays multiple instruments, and is an accomplished composer. She often performs live as a trio with Barry Prior on upright bass and electric bass, and Corey Morgan Strange handling percussion, banjo, and background vocals. Her versatility frequently draws comparisons to the artists who have inspired her, such as Bonnie Raitt, Norah Jones, Jackson Browne, Sara Bareilles, and Adele.
In particular, she finds Raitt’s mastery of her instrument, engaging technique, and reputation as a musician who is also an outstanding vocalist (rather than the other way around) very compelling. Another of her inspirations is Stephen Sondheim, whose storytelling style and ability to create complex characters through music and lyrics ignited in her the drive to share her own stories in the same way. It all comes together in songs that are vivid, heartfelt, and sincere like an Appalachian ballad while having the energy of a Broadway show.
Hannah recently released her second album, Little Blue Heron, on which she wrote all 11 songs. Recorded in the spring of 2015 at Baxter’s Ranch Recording Studio in Auburn, CA, it is the follow-up to Becoming Someone.
Hannah is well-known in the Sacramento area and beyond, and is a 2016 SAMMIE Folk Rock Nominee. Clearly she and her band are artists on the rise.
